How to win the jungle race as Nunu & Willump against Qiyana · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Read from Nunu & Willump's seat: the race windows this plan plays for against Qiyana.
| Stage | Read | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 Clear | Respect Qiyana | A brush-empowered Edge of Ixtal ambush chunks you before you ever see her — Nunu & Willump has no answer to that at level 1. River-element Q poke chips anyone pathing through mid-jungle on their half of the map too, so skip the level-1 crossing and answer the pressure cross-map. |
| Level 2 Skirmish | Respect Qiyana | Terrashape-empowered autos win short trades near their element, and Nunu & Willump has no clean answer to it on the second camp — a brush-empowered Edge of Ixtal ambush chunks you before you ever see her. Track which element she's holding — river slow and brush stealth define her threat, and give up the second buff rather than the kill. |
| Level 3 Route | Respect Qiyana | The window at the opening scuttle belongs to Qiyana: brush-element stealth Q sets up ambush trades entirely on their terms. Your own line is real — you still don't win duels — convert W ganks and smite fights instead — but it arrives second here. Track which element she's holding — river slow and brush stealth define her threat, then give up the level-3 river fight. |
| Levels 4-5 Macro | Respect Qiyana — Path Opposite | You lose the 4-5 duel. She plays 4-5 around whichever element is nearest, and the brush-stealth Q makes lane ganks free — so let them have that half of the map and cash the other half faster. |
| Level 6 Breakpoint | Respect Qiyana's R | Supreme Display of Talent turns every jungle wall into a team-wide stun line, which is the whole problem: her R stuns along every wall in the jungle — your own terrain is her weapon. Fight in open river spaces where the shockwave has no wall to detonate, and spend Absolute Zero to equalize rather than to open. |
| First Item Spike | Liandry's Spike | Completing Liandry's Torment puts a max-health burn on every Consume (Q), Biggest Snowball Ever! (W) and Snowball Barrage (E) hit, so camps and waves melt and brawlers who try to out-sustain you lose a chunk of health every trade. Qiyana's first item is the threshold where the element combo goes from a heavy trade to a full deletion. |
| 2+ Items Scaling | Danger — Qiyana Outscales | The clock is your enemy. She one-shots a carry and the wall stun makes the follow-up fight unwinnable, so close the game on the first two objectives you actually win. |
Start your clear at the Red or Blue Buff camp utilizing your Consume true damage to maximize early clear speed without needing a heavy leash. Qiyana clears at a fair pace once she has an element, and she picks her element around where she intends to path.

Not exactly — Qiyana pressures 6 of the 7 windows, so Nunu & Willump is playing catch-up and has to lean on the map.
