This Privacy Policy explains how MatchupCoach.gg ("MatchupCoach," "we," "us," or "our"), based in Ontario, Canada, collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our website and services (the "Service"). We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other applicable privacy laws.

1. Information We Collect

Riot ID / game handle	Any Riot ID or in-game name you choose to add to your profile. This is optional and provided by you.	To personalize your experience. We do not connect to your Riot account or read game data unless you explicitly use a feature that says so.
Payment information	Card payments are collected and processed by Stripe. We receive a confirmation of payment, the plan purchased, and limited billing metadata — we do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, or full card details.	To process subscriptions and Lifetime Member purchases.
Usage & analytics data	Pages viewed, features used, approximate device/browser type, and similar technical data, collected through cookies and similar technologies.	To operate, secure, measure, and improve the Service.
Communications	Messages you send us and your communication preferences.	To respond to you and manage marketing consent.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Service and your account.
• To process payments, manage subscriptions and Lifetime Member purchases, and prevent fraud and abuse (including chargeback abuse).
• To respond to support requests and communicate about your account, including service and transactional messages.
• To send marketing or promotional communications only where you have consented, and to honor your withdrawal of that consent.
• To understand how the Service is used and to develop new features.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Cookies and Tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the Service (for example, to keep you logged in), and we may use performance/analytics and marketing cookies. You can manage your preferences as described in our Cookie Policy. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed:

• Service providers (processors) who help us operate the Service under contract, including Stripe (payments), our hosting provider (Render), and Google (only if you choose Google sign-in). These providers may process data outside Canada (for example, in the United States), where it may be subject to that country's laws.
• Legal and safety — to comply with applicable law, a lawful request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MatchupCoach, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to provide the Service, to comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and to resolve disputes. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records (for example, transaction records) to meet legal requirements.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information, including password hashing (PBKDF2), encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your account and personal information.
• Withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time (for example, via an unsubscribe link or by contacting us).
