These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you ("you," "your," or "User") and the operator of MatchupCoach.gg ("MatchupCoach," "we," "us," or "our"), based in the Province of Ontario, Canada. They govern your access to and use of the MatchupCoach.gg website, content, tools, and any paid plans (together, the "Service").
By creating an account, accessing, browsing, subscribing to, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Cookie Policy, each incorporated here by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service, and at least the age of majority in your province, state, or country to purchase a paid plan.
MatchupCoach provides educational League of Legends content, including matchup guides, champion-specific strategy, lane coaching information, power-spike and window analysis, wave-management advice, build and rune suggestions, jungle-tracking tools, and loading-screen optimization content. All content is provided for informational and educational purposes only. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
We may refuse service, and we may suspend or terminate accounts, at our discretion as described in Section 11.
We offer a free tier that includes a rotating selection of free champions — currently one champion per role, refreshed daily — along with sample matchups that can be viewed without an account. Some free features may require an account. Free access, and the specific champions or features it includes, may change or end at any time.
We offer paid monthly subscriptions — currently Lane Pass (access to a single role) and Everything (access to all roles, champions, and matchups). Paid subscriptions grant access to the paid features described at the price shown at checkout, billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis.
The Lifetime Member plan is a one-time purchase that grants the access described on the Pricing page at the time of purchase. "Lifetime access" means access for the operational lifetime of the Service — that is, for as long as MatchupCoach.gg continues to be offered as a live service. It does not mean your natural lifetime, and it does not create any obligation for us to operate the Service for any fixed or minimum period. If the Service is permanently discontinued, Lifetime Member access ends with it, subject to any rights you have under applicable law and our Refund Policy.
Automatic renewal. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor (Stripe) to charge your payment method the then-current subscription fee, plus applicable taxes, at the start of each billing cycle, until you cancel. Renewal continues at the same interval until cancelled.
All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. Your use of payment features is also subject to Stripe's terms.
Purchases are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Because the Service delivers digital content with immediate access, purchases are generally non-refundable except where a refund is required by applicable consumer-protection law.
MatchupCoach provides information and analysis, not outcomes. We make no guarantee, representation, or warranty of any kind that using the Service will increase your rank, LP, MMR, win rate, or competitive success, or produce any specific in-game result. League of Legends outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your own play, your teammates, your opponents, game balance, and patch changes. Any examples, statistics, or estimates (including estimated win rates) are illustrative and are not promises of performance.
The Service, including its text, original guides, written analysis, composed matchup content, software, design, layout, and branding, is owned by MatchupCoach or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, scrape, frame, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission.
League of Legends, champion names, abilities, artwork, and related assets are the property of Riot Games, Inc. and are used for identification and educational reference only. See our Riot Games disclaimer in Section 14.
The Service relies on third parties, including Stripe (payments), Google (optional sign-in), and Riot Games' publicly available Data Dragon assets (champion and item images). Your use of those features may be subject to the third party's own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party services.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its content is accurate or current.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MATCHUPCOACH AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, RANK, ACCOUNT STANDING, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) CAD $50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including under Ontario consumer-protection legislation.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account or access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraud or chargeback abuse, attempted to compromise the Service, or used the Service in a way that harms us or other users. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 8, 10, 12, and 13) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the courts located in Ontario, Canada will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local jurisdiction. You agree to first contact us to attempt to resolve any dispute informally before commencing formal proceedings.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
