How to win lane as Jax against Teemo · 50.9% win rate (890 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
His blind kills your autos — build MR, Q-leap and E him.
Track: Teemo's Q — Blinding Dart (7s cooldown). Blinds your autos — your whole kit. Fight when down.
Read from Jax's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Teemo.
This is Jax's own plan; across 890 pooled games the lane is leaning Jax.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Teemo | At level 1 his Q blind cancels your autos and passive on-hit and you have no Counter Strike yet — farm at Leap Strike's edge and don't chase into a blinded trade. |
| Level 2 | Even / skill | He blinds the instant you step up, so a level-2 W-Empower auto is wasted — set the combo up rather than force a trade his Q just turns off. |
| Level 3 | Jax | Full combo online — bait the blind, Leap Strike in, and Counter Strike stuns him when he poison-and-autos into your dodge window. |
| Levels 4-5 | Jax | You out-trade his poke whenever Blinding Dart is down, and ranking the combo keeps the dodge-stun up more often than he can kite away. |
| Level 6 | Jax | Grandmaster-at-Arms' Armor/MR active eats his E-poison and the bonus on-hit plus a stun runs down an escapeless, dash-less Teemo. |
| First item | Even / skill | Your Trinity/on-hit spike lets a landed stun nearly delete him, but it only happens on his Q-blind timer — miss the window and it stays a coinflip. |
| Two+ items | Teemo | He out-scales the side lane: shrooms, move-speed kite and E-poison let him splitpush and chip while never stepping into Counter Strike. |
His Q blind is the whole early game — it negates your autos AND the on-hit damage Jax leans on, so don't Leap Strike in just to throw a basic he blinds into nothing. At level 1 with only Q and no Counter Strike yet you concede the opener: last-hit at the edge of Leap Strike range and eat a little E-poison rather than facetank a blinded trade. Once you hit 3 you finally have an answer — bait the blind, Leap Strike in, and pop Counter Strike; if he keeps poke-autoing into the dodge window you stun him and the Empowered swing actually lands.

Jax, slightly — a 50.9% win rate edge over 890 games; execution can flip it.
Mostly — Jax has a small statistical edge (50.9% win rate), but execution decides this lane far more than the pick does.
Not a hard counter — Jax has a slight edge (50.9% win rate), and play quality decides the rest.
Jax takes Conqueror on the Precision tree with Triumph, Legend: Alacrity and Last Stand, and Resolve secondary (Second Wind and Bone Plating) vs Teemo.
Start Doran's Shield + Health Potion (vs his poke) and back for Core component + boots (≈1300g). Build Trinity Force (the classic spike) first, then Sundered Sky, with Mercury's Treads.
