How to win lane as Jax against Quinn · 48.2% win rate over 388 Emerald+ games · Updated 2026-07-27
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Quinn | Quinn's Harrier-marked autos out-poke you for free and her Vault (E) repositions her out of range before Counter Strike exists — last-hit and concede the level. |
| Level 2 | Quinn | Even setting up a burst trade, her Blinding Assault (Q) blinds your autos and her Vault keeps her out of your range, so she still edges the level. |
| Level 3 | Even / skill | Counter Strike (E) finally gives you a dodge-and-stun answer, but only if she commits autos into it, so the lane is a genuine coinflip at this point. |
| Levels 4-5 | Quinn | She pokes from range without feeding your E and kites on her Harrier passive move-speed — your combo can't catch a champion who never walks up, so she stays ahead. |
| Level 6 | Jax | Grandmaster at Arms is your spike — bait the Vault empty, Leap Strike in, and the Armor/MR active plus the on-hit ramp win the extended all-in outright. |
| First item | Even / skill | Your first item helps the all-in, but hers brings lethality poke and roam pressure off her ult, so an even lane tips back to a coinflip. |
| Two+ items | Quinn | Full-build Quinn pokes you off the wave and roams faster than you can answer — close the game on your level 6 lead before her scaling takes over. |
Quinn owns the first three levels and you have to respect it. Her Harrier passive marks you and turns her next auto into a damage spike, so she chunks you for free while you can only last-hit. Worse, her Blinding Assault (Q) blinds you for over a second — your autos whiff, which means Counter Strike's dodge has nothing to negate and Relentless Assault never gets stacking. Don't burn Leap Strike (Q) to chase: she'll just Vault (E) off you and reposition out of range, leaving you stranded in her poke. Farm at range, take the marked autos as chip, and wait for level 3 Counter Strike (E) — your only tool that turns her attacks off, and only if she actually commits autos into the window.
