Ryze's early threat is one sequence: Spell Flux (E) tags you, then Rune Prison (W) roots instead of slowing. With no Flux on you that W is only a slow, so dodging the 615-range E defuses the chain outright. He's immobile with no dash and Flash is his only out, which is exactly your meal. Last-hit at Avengerang range — 850 to his 615 — and throw it every step-up, since both passes hit and the double-shot passive chips on top.
