At Level 1 Akshan's Avengerang (Q) bounces back through you for a second hit if you stand in line with minions — respect the poke angle and do not stand in a straight line with the wave. Neither of you has a dominant Level 1 trade, so farm and watch where he positions his E grapple anchor points. At Level 2 Akshan gains Heroic Swing and can reposition off jungle walls or towers, which means your Shadow Dash angle matters enormously — do not E in a direction he can swing away from. Short trades with E-Q-passive shield are still fine if you catch him without a swing available.
