At Level 1 this lane is a pure spacing duel — Aatrox wants his spirit blade recalled through your body for the bonus magic shred on Q, and you want it nowhere near him. Walk to the side so his blade recall does not pass through you, Q-auto him from an angle, and generate your Ki Barrier shield on the trade. Neither of you has a clear kill threat yet, so bank small health leads rather than overcommitting.
