At level 1 Akali has to walk into Q-blade range to last-hit — you can pull the spirit blade through her with Q and let the empowered autos chip her down before she has any mobility. At level 2 getting E changes everything: she has no W yet at the start and no dash of her own until she is also level 2, so the first E-taunt you land forces her to auto into your Ki Barrier shield while you Q through the blade. Hold E until she tries to trade, not as an initiation — if you dash at her first she can simply walk backwards and your taunt misses. By level 3 with W online you can E-taunt her into the Spirit's Refuge zone and block her burst entirely; she has nothing to go invisible in if W is not already placed, so look to punish aggressive steps immediately.
