How to win lane as Neeko against Zac · 45.33% win rate (75 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Free poke lane — root-Q every CS attempt and save your R for the river, not the raid boss.
Track: Zac's E — Elastic Slingshot (21–9s cooldown). Long-range engage — interrupt the charge or punish the cooldown.
Read from Neeko's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Zac.
This is Neeko's own plan; across 75 pooled games the lane is leaning Zac.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Even / skill | Zac's huge blob and slow start make him easy to hit, but you have no combo yet — last-hit with Q and stay out of his arm-pull range. |
| Level 2 | Even / skill | A second Q point gives you poke, but Cell Division blobs heal it back — anti-heal early or the chip never sticks. |
| Level 3 | Neeko | Q + E come online: root the immobile blob and re-bloom Q on him for a poke trade his sustain can't fully answer. |
| Levels 4-5 | Even / skill | You out-poke but he eats it and slings when you overstep — even, so bait his E before you trade. |
| Level 6 | Neeko | Pop Blossom on a landed E bursts him hard, but any Zac knockup strips the disguise — root first, then channel. |
| First item | Neeko | Your Liandry's/Blackfire spike shreds his blob HP faster than he can sustain — keep forcing the all-in. |
| Two+ items | Zac | Zac out-scales: tank items plus a max-HP fog sling and AoE CC outlast your single rotation — play for picks, not the 1v1. |
Zac is a slow, immobile blob early with no dash until his E charges, so he's exactly the kind of melee target your E (Tangle-Barbs) wants — and his hitbox is huge so the root is easy to land. At Levels 1-2 just farm with Q and don't walk into his Q (the overhead arm pull) range; once you hit 3 you have Q + E and can root him mid-wave, then re-bloom Q on the stuck blob for a clean poke trade he can't dodge. Watch his passive: every time he picks up a blob he heals, so try to body-block or clear the wave to deny those pickups.
