How to win lane as Neeko against Kassadin · 14.29% win rate (14 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Shieldless melee mage — root him off every CS pre-6 and end the lane before Riftwalk exists.
Track: Kassadin's R — Riftwalk (5–2s cooldown). His mobility spike — the lane is decided before it scales.
Read from Neeko's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Kassadin.
This is Neeko's own plan; across 14 pooled games the lane is Kassadin-favoured.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Neeko | Kassadin is a meleed scaler with no blink at level 1 — you shove with Q-Blooming Burst and chip him while he has to walk up to farm. |
| Level 2 | Neeko | Your second Q point pokes him off the wave, and he still has no Riftwalk to escape your zone — he concedes the farm phase to you. |
| Level 3 | Neeko | Your first real window: a max-range E-Tangle-Barbs root into a Q re-bloom chunks him before his passive magic shield can soak it. |
| Levels 4-5 | Neeko | He still can't all-in you and your Q waveclear denies his CS — you keep him meleed and behind through levels 4-5. |
| Level 6 | Neeko | Kassadin spikes at 6: Riftwalk is a blink, so your root cannot hold it — only the Pop Blossom knock-up itself pins him in place. |
| First item | Neeko | Against a one-blink Kassadin your Liandry's-component E-Q-R combo still deletes him before his R cooldown lets him escape twice. |
| Two+ items | Even / skill | He out-scales you completely — Tear/Rod of Ages online, he spam-blinks through your root, shields your burst with Q, and one-rotations your squishy body. |
Pre-6 Kassadin is a meleed scaler with no blink, and this is the whole reason I get a head start: I shove with Q-Blooming Burst waveclear and chip him while he has to walk up into auto range to farm. My real punish is a max-range E-Tangle-Barbs — root him and he eats a full Q re-bloom before his passive magic shield can soak much of it. Don't throw E point-blank as an opener; keep it as the root that starts my combo, and make him pay for every CS while he's stuck in melee range with no escape.
