Yorick can't dash, so your E (Tangle-Barbs) is a free root once you hit level 3 — but don't waste it on the ghoul swarm. At level 1 he can corner you with E mist-cage if you walk up greedy, so farm with the tip of Q (Blooming Burst) and clear his ghouls with the re-bloom rather than letting them stack. Once you have Q+E, wait for him to walk up to last-hit, root him, and drop Q on the spot — he physically cannot leave the seed before it blooms again.
