How to win lane as Jayce against Teemo · 51.65% win rate over 788 Emerald+ games · Updated 2026-07-27
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Even / skill | At level 1 with just the Cannon Q neither of us has a real spike: his Q blind only stops my autos, not Shock Blast, but I have no gate yet, so we trade orbs and farm even. |
| Level 2 | Jayce | Acceleration Gate is up at 2-3: I fire the sped-up, bonus-damage orb through it and chunk every step-up he takes to last-hit, and the blind can't stop a skillshot, so this is my window. |
| Level 3 | Jayce | Both stances plus gate-Q let me poke him off CS from a range his E-poison can't answer, and I can still take a plate before his shrooms exist, so the early favor is mine. |
| Levels 4-5 | Even / skill | He kites my Hammer burst on passive move speed and saves Blinding Dart for my swap-auto, so my only kill condition fizzles and the poke war neutralizes. |
| Level 6 | Even / skill | Level 6 is flat for me, since my R is only the Cannon/Hammer swap I already had, while his R now seeds shrooms that wall my angles, so neither side pulls clearly ahead. |
| First item | Even / skill | Manamune/Eclipse keeps gate-Q threatening, but a caught Teemo is rare against his kite, so the orb-versus-poison war stays a coinflip with no owner. |
| Two+ items | Teemo | He owns the side lane at 2+ items: shrooms wall my gate-Q angles, move-speed kite keeps me out of Thundering Blow range, and my squishy frame falls off. |
Do not let anyone tell you the blind decides this lane. Blinding Dart only stops autos and on-hit, and my early damage is the Shock Blast skillshot, which it cannot touch. At level 1 with just the Cannon Q I already out-range his auto and E-poison, so poke his last-hits and accept a little chip back. The real swing is level 2-3: once Acceleration Gate is up I fire the orb THROUGH the gate for full range, speed and bonus damage, and every step he takes to farm eats it. Sidestepping is his only out, so punish lazy positioning and build a health lead before he hits 6.
