This is Sion's own plan; across 1,468 pooled games the lane is leaning Zac.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Even / skill | Zac has no damage at level 1 — step on blobs to cut his passive healing and farm safely; neither side can force a kill here. |
| Level 2 | Sion | Unstable Matter is a 5s cooldown that burns a percent of your max HP — the shield absorbs one slap, never the loop, so take a single trade and leave. |
| Level 3 | Sion | Elastic Slingshot is 21s at rank 1 and fully telegraphed — stun him on landing, but the trade only pays if you also step on the blobs he sheds. |
| Levels 4-5 | Even / skill | Zac kites in and out on E cooldown and sustains blob-by-blob; respect the engage range and don't charge Q into open air where he can disengage. |
| Level 6 | Even / skill | Your R gives you an intercept tool for his E landing zone and your slingshot-punish window opens — neither side decisively owns this stage. |
| First item | Sion | Heartsteel compounds your HP, but Unstable Matter takes a percent of maximum health — every stack you add makes his slap hit harder, so keep it to one exchange. |
| Two+ items | Even / skill | His Cell Division blobs give him a revive threat that cancels late kills; step on the blobs or W-detonate them — if you do, your zombie passive still deals damage when he tries to finish you. |
Zac has almost no damage at level 1 — his Q (Stretching Strikes) does poke but he needs blobs from his W (Unstable Matter) and passive to sustain through anything. Step on every blob he drops so his healing is cut off, and use Q at tip range to land free chip without giving him a target. At level 2 your W-shield goes up and you can absorb his first real trade; let him W-slap you, shield it, then answer with a short-charged Q to shove him off. At level 3 his slingshot is online but it telegraphs from far away — point your body toward the likely landing zone and hold the charged Q so you stun him the instant he touches down.
