Do not attempt to charge Q into a Jayce who is standing at max gate range — he will knock you back mid-charge and you lose the trade. Farm with auto-attacks and short W-shield tank trades only; your goal is to hit level 4 with decent HP and not give him a kill that fuels his early lead.
