Sylas is one of the few melee bruisers you cannot simply kite to death — Kingslayer (W) heals him against champions on a cooldown that falls to 6s, so the DoT war you usually win goes nowhere. At levels 1-2 you can poke with the tip of your Q while he has one ability, but from 3 Abscond and its Abduct recast close the gap in two hops. Watch Chain Lash as well: it slows where the chains cross and explodes there a moment later, so the ground he aims at is the ground to leave. Last-hit with Q; his all-in is real.
