Do not try to trade back with autos you cannot reach him with; soak XP, take the safe CS, and accept you'll be down a little health and a few minions. The one comfort is he can't kill you outright — there's no all-in threat here, just attrition — and your W (Celestial Blessing) heals back a chunk of his poke if you space his bombs well.
