Sion's whole early game is the charged Q. Your Counter Strike (E) dodges his autos but does nothing to the knockup itself, and a full-charge Q chunks you hard — so at level 1 don't walk into Q range to throw a Leap Strike he can punish; just farm. From 2-3 you flip it: bait or sidestep the Q, then Q-in, W-Empower the landing hit, and hold E to dodge his auto follow-up before recasting to stun — and that stun interrupts his next Q charge. His Roar of the Slayer poke and Soul Furnace AoE still hit you through your dodge (E only blanks basic attacks), so only commit when his Q is down.
