Level 1 is even-to-rough — you have one ability and no Counter Strike, and his W can block the auto you'd swing, so just farm and don't throw a Leap Strike you can't follow up. Everything flips at 2 when you take W: a Leap Strike into an Empowered auto is a sharp burst he can't match with a taunt trade. At 3 you own it — when he steps up to Q-empower and auto, hold Counter Strike through his swings and his Shadow Dash taunt, then recast to stun and punish. Just respect that Spirit's Refuge can deny a chunk of your dodge value if he times the block instead of feeding you autos.
