Level 1 is genuinely even — Jax pokes with Q and you poke back with your spirit blade empowered autos, but neither of you has enough kit to commit. At level 2, Jax's Counter Strike changes everything: he can hold it and punish the instant you step up, dodging your empowered Q autos entirely before stunning you for the return damage. Levels 2-3 belong to him — do not try to run your full E-taunt pattern into a ready Counter Strike, because he will dodge your autos with E, stun you, and pop W for a massive burst. Respect it hard: last-hit safely, hold your W spirit zone to block at least part of his answer, and wait for the Counter Strike cooldown to expire before you commit anything.
