How to win lane as Akshan against Urgot · 60.87% win rate over 23 Emerald+ games · Updated 2026-07-27
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Urgot | At Level 1 you have only Q and one passive shot, and his shotgun legs out-trade you hard if you step into point-blank range. |
| Level 2 | Akshan | Your second passive shot plus Q boomerang out-range his short shotgun legs, so you chip his HP bar while he can't reach you. |
| Level 3 | Akshan | Getting E (Heroic Swing) gives you both poke and an escape from his Disdain flip — you own the range war now. |
| Levels 4-5 | Akshan | Levels 4-5 are your strongest laning window: he can't close the distance and you chip his oversized HP bar for free. |
| Level 6 | Akshan | Comeuppance finishes a low Urgot from range and beats his R execute if you fire first from outside his reach. |
| First item | Akshan | Your Youmuu's lethality spike plus E-reset snowball bursts him before his tanky HP-scaling items come online. |
| Two+ items | Urgot | At two-plus items he out-scales your lethality — one E flip into his percent-HP shred and R execute kills you outright. |
Urgot's early game is his Q/W shotgun legs, but they're short-range — and contrary to what people think, his W (Purge) doesn't root him in place, he can still walk (slowed) while shredding. The point is his damage window is point-blank, so stand outside it and pepper his giant HP bar with Q boomerang and your double-shot passive. The one thing to fear is his E (Disdain): a dash-flip that vaults you over him into shotgun range, so never trade standing next to a wall he can flip you into. He concedes Level 1 like you do, but from Level 2 your range and the extra passive shot chip him for free.
