How to win lane as Akshan against Tryndamere · 25% win rate over 12 Emerald+ games · Updated 2026-07-27
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Even / skill | Both of us are weak at level 1 with one ability — he has no Fury stacked yet and I only have my Avengerang, so neither bullies the other off the first wave. |
| Level 2 | Akshan | My Avengerang (Q) out-ranges his autos and chips a Fury-starved Trynd who can't crit reliably or heal much yet — this is my cleanest trade window. |
| Level 3 | Akshan | By 2-3 my Q poke and the move speed it grants on champ hits let me chip and reposition before his bar fills, and he still can't sustain through it, so I own these levels. |
| Levels 4-5 | Tryndamere | His crit chance and Fury-scaled lifesteal come online — once he can E-gap, W-slow, and spin, he out-trades my squishy lethality in any extended fight. |
| Level 6 | Tryndamere | Undying Rage (R) makes him survive at 1 HP for 5 seconds, which directly counters my Comeuppance execute and burst — I can't finish him and he spins me down instead. |
| First item | Tryndamere | His crit items (IE/Collector) plus Spinning Slash gap-close arrive alongside my Youmuu's and out-DPS my lethality in a straight brawl, so my power spike loses the race. |
| Two+ items | Tryndamere | He out-scales hard — crit spin-kiting, E + W to break my Q rhythm and slow me, and R to deny every pick — my lethality falls off while his crit statline takes over. |
I get exactly one job early: abuse levels 2-3 before his crit shows up. Avengerang (Q) out-ranges his autos, so chip him while his Fury bar is empty, his crit chance is floored, and his lifesteal is nothing. The trap is his E (Spinning Slash) — the second I step up to auto and proc my second shot, he can E-gap onto me, W-slow me so I can't kite, and start spinning. Last-hit at max Q range, never walk up to CS, and respect that a Fury-stacked Trynd at half health is more dangerous than a full one, because his crit chance and self-heal both scale with the bar.
