Trundle is melee with zero ranged poke, so levels 2-3 are yours — your double-shot passive plus the out-and-back Q chip him while he can only walk at you. Hold Heroic Swing (E) as your exit, not your engage; if you swing in, his Frozen Domain (W) gives him the move/attack speed to stick on you and bite repeatedly.
