Levels 1-3 are his, not yours — you only have Q and no Shroud or sustain, so do not walk up and try to auto-trade into his Counter Strike (E), which dodges your basic and empowered autos and then stuns you. Your Q (a spell) still lands through E, so poke with it from range, but do not commit a full trade into his W-empowered Q (Leap Strike) all-in. Last-hit and eat a little chip rather than feed the dive. The good news: he has no ranged poke, so if you respect the E-stun you take very little, and his all-in only becomes lethal if you give him the stun.
