How to win lane as Akali against Kled · 40.48% win rate over 589 Emerald+ games · Updated 2026-07-27
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Kled | Kled's mounted Q pulls him onto you and his W attack-speed steroid out-DPS your autos while you have only Q and no Shroud to break the engage. |
| Level 2 | Kled | He courage-stacks and re-latches with Q before you have any reset — last-hit at range and refuse the trade. |
| Level 3 | Kled | Still no Twilight Shroud until you skill W, so his pull-and-brawl pattern beats your Q poke and chips you every wave. |
| Levels 4-5 | Kled | Even with Shroud up to dodge his Q, a mounted Kled out-bullies your walk-ups and you can't safely all-in into full Skaarl. |
| Level 6 | Akali | Perfect Execution's dash plus the missing-HP second cast lets you delete a dismounted or chunked Kled — your peak window. |
| First item | Akali | Rocketbelt/Lich Bane and a full E-into-R combo still out-burst him before Skaarl's HP recovers — all-in now. |
| Two+ items | Kled | Skaarl's HP pool, sustained mounted DPS and the remount heal let him eat your combo and out-brawl you with two items. |
Kled owns these levels — his mounted Q (Bear Trap on a Rope) latches and pulls him straight onto you for a free skirmish, and at Level 1 you have only Five Point Strike (Q) and no way to break it. Don't try to last-hit inside his Q range; throw Q from max distance for the slow and chip, then step out before he can commit. His W attack-speed steroid shreds you in any extended auto trade, so never sit in a fight you didn't start — you have no Shroud reset until you put a point in W (around 4), and even then his courage-stacking aggression punishes greedy walk-ups.
