Gangplank's early game is Parrrley (Q) and Powder Keg (E): his Q last-hits and chips you from range, and detonating a keg with that Q pokes you from outside your kunai range. At Level 1 you only have your own Q, no Twilight Shroud, no real sustain. Don't walk up to land a Five Point Strike he can just step away from, and never E onto a barrel chasing him — you'll land inside the detonation and eat his crit passive. Last-hit at max Q range, sidestep kegs before they pop, and accept you concede these levels.
