How to win lane as Teemo against Sett · 49.5% win rate · Updated 2026-07-27
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Teemo | Sett's level-1 passive double-punch is his strongest early-trade tool — Blinding Shot already blinds him mid-combo, so you own this window by default. |
| Level 2 | Teemo | Your level-2 Toxic Shot poison gives you a sustained poke loop: Q to blind, E to stack poison, W to disengage before he absorbs enough hits to build a dangerous grit bar. |
| Level 3 | Even / skill | Sett can now absorb your poison into W grit for a real smash, and his raw HP makes him harder to chunk — the lane is contested and mistakes on either side are punished. |
| Levels 4-5 | Even / skill | Max-rank Q and your growing mushroom field make approaching you costly, but Sett's natural tankiness means you are chipping rather than bursting him — the lane is genuinely even. |
| Level 6 | Even / skill | His R suppresses through your blind and lets him land a full W true-damage dump; your mushroom escape routes are now critical, making this window a skill read on both sides. |
| First item | Teemo | Liandry's DoT burns his grit bar faster than he can trade back, tipping the lane your way — this is the cleanest kill window you will have all game. |
| Two+ items | Sett | Sett's durability and team-fight R outpace your split-push pressure in extended games; the EVEN verdict resolves in his favour if you cannot close a lead through side lanes first. |
At level 1 Sett wants to walk up and throw his passive double-punch, but Blinding Shot turns the second auto into a whiff and immediately reverses the trade. Auto him once with Toxic Shot poison active, fire Q into his face, and back off with Move Quick before he can respond. He has no gap-close at this stage so every time he steps forward you repeat the pattern. The danger is greed: if you keep autoing after the blind instead of retreating with W he will eventually absorb enough poison into his W grit bar for a damaging smash, so one Q and out is the correct loop.
