Level 1 you only have Q — use it to poke him off CS and build chip damage, but do not walk into tongue-lash (Q) range trying to auto him; he wins the straight level-1 slugfest on grey-health alone. At level 2 your W comes up and even trades start tilting your way slightly, but he can absorb a short rotation and walk away with greyed HP that fills back passively. Level 3 is where you take control: E forward to close distance, fire E2 chain to hook and stun him, land Q's crossing explosion during the stun, then W while he is slowed — the W's missing-health bonus and your chain autos strip more HP than his grey-health can recover before the next wave. Respect only one thing early: his Q tongue-lash. It stuns for a full second, and if he lands it on you mid-combo your W heal is interrupted and he turns the trade around.
