Q him on cooldown — the axe slow is the whole lane, because once it sticks he cannot walk out of your E range, and E's guaranteed true damage cuts straight through his percent-HP passive that normally shrugs off bruisers. Level 1 is yours: he has no W block charged and no way to escape the slow. The only thing to respect is his W (Path Maker) — it can dash through and block one of your axes or your E, so do not throw E into a fully-charged W. Pick your axe back up to refund the cooldown and chain-slow him for the next trade.
