Levels 1-2 you have no combo and Galio just pokes with Q (his tornado) while sitting on tankier base stats, so concede the very start and last-hit with the tip of Blooming Burst. At Level 3 you finally get E + Q: you can land Tangle-Barbs and immediately drop a re-blooming Q on top of him for your first real trade. The catch is his W — if he taunts into your root window he reduces your magic damage and turns the trade around, so throw E when his W is on cooldown or after he commits it, never into a fresh taunt.
