Read from Master Yi's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Illaoi.
This is Master Yi's own plan; across 171 pooled games the lane is Master Yi-favoured.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Illaoi | Illaoi's tentacle slams out-trade you hard at level 1. |
| Level 2 | Illaoi | Her slam plus Test of Spirit control level 2 completely. |
| Level 3 | Illaoi | At level 3 the spirit echoes your damage taken straight back onto you. |
| Levels 4-5 | Illaoi | Levels 4-5 her tentacle field still out-damages anything you try. |
| Level 6 | Illaoi | Leap of Faith (R) at 6 walls you with tentacles and can kill your dive. |
| First item | Illaoi | Even at first item her zone and E-pull keep you behind. |
| Two+ items | Master Yi | Only full crit plus Highlander (R) lets you finally out-scale her tentacles. |
Illaoi dominates every early level: her Tentacle slams and Test of Spirit rip huge chunks, and the moment she pulls your spirit any Alpha Strike (Q) into the tentacle field takes multiplied damage. Do not fight in her tentacles — soak XP and dodge her skillshot E.
