Read from Illaoi's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Master Yi.
This is Illaoi's own plan; across 171 pooled games the lane is Master Yi-favoured.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Illaoi | Level 1 is Illaoi — tentacle slams out-trade his weak early autos hard. |
| Level 2 | Illaoi | Level 2 stays yours: the slam plus Test of Spirit controls the lane completely. |
| Level 3 | Illaoi | Level 3 is yours — a landed spirit test multiplies your damage onto his Alpha Strike commits. |
| Levels 4-5 | Illaoi | Levels 4-5 stay Illaoi — the tentacle field out-damages anything he attempts. |
| Level 6 | Illaoi | Level 6 is yours — Leap of Faith walls him in tentacles and can straight-up kill his dive. |
| First item | Illaoi | First item stays Illaoi: your zone and E pull keep him behind — keep denying. |
| Two+ items | Master Yi | 2+ items goes to Master Yi — Highlander makes him immune to slows, so Iceborn Gauntlet stops holding him in the field. |
Six straight stages are yours, starting immediately: tentacle slams crush his level-1 autos, Test of Spirit turns his soul into a second health bar to beat on, and any Alpha Strike into your field just multiplies your damage. Starve him of every CS — his entire game plan is surviving to items, so make the lane a famine he cannot farm through.
