How to win lane as Master Yi against Sett · 43% win rate (393 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Read from Master Yi's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Sett.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Sett | Sett's passive fists and trade stats beat you outright at level 1. |
| Level 2 | Sett | His shielded Haymaker (W) burst keeps him ahead at level 2. |
| Level 3 | Sett | At level 3 his Facebreaker (E) stun sets up combos you can't answer. |
| Levels 4-5 | Sett | At 4-5 his grit shield and true damage still out-trade you hard. |
| Level 6 | Sett | At 6 The Show Stopper (R) grounds you and slams you down. |
| First item | Sett | First item still loses: grit sustain wins extended fights. |
| Two+ items | Master Yi | Late game your on-hit and true damage finally out-scale his HP bar. |
Sett owns levels 1-3 hard: his passive fists out-trade your autos, Haymaker (W) shields him then deals true damage, and Facebreaker (E) slows you when you are the only target on one side. There is no early trade you win - farm outside his 490 range.
