How to win lane as Lillia against Wukong · 57.14% win rate over 7 Emerald+ games · Updated 2026-07-27
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Even / skill | You only have one ability and no kite chain at level 1, but so does a weak-opening Wukong — farm with Q from range and set up the lane rather than contesting. |
| Level 2 | Lillia | Your Q sweetspot plus the Swirlseed slow starts the Dream Dust burn and the stacking move speed makes you uncatchable to a melee Wukong who must E-dash to touch you. |
| Level 3 | Lillia | Full early Q and the compounding DoT mean every time he steps up to trade you kite out on move speed while the burn ticks his HP — he can never catch the damage back. |
| Levels 4-5 | Lillia | Levels 4-5 are your peak lane window: you grind down a bruiser who has to walk at you, and his spent E-dash leaves him eating the Dream Dust burn with no way to close again. |
| Level 6 | Even / skill | Even at 6 — his Q-shred into E into R spin-knockup is a real all-in if he catches you flat, and his W clone can bait your Lilting Lullaby sleep off his real body. |
| First item | Lillia | Liandry's or Riftmaker turns your W and DoT into percent-HP damage that his armor-stacking build cannot answer, since he has no MR against your magic burn. |
| Two+ items | Lillia | At 2+ items you win every extended kite fight as his compounding-DoT losses outrun his armor, which is wasted stats — convert the lead before Cleaver and Sterak's let him survive your burst. |
Level 1 is a wash — I only have Blooming Blows and no kite chain, so I just farm with the Q from range and concede the opening, because Wukong's level-1 isn't strong enough to punish a passive start either. From level 2-3 it tilts my way fast: I layer the Q sweetspot with the Swirlseed (E) slow to start the Dream Dust burn, and the stacking move speed from Q plus my passive makes me uncatchable to a champion who has no ranged tool and has to spend his E-dash just to touch me. The one thing to respect is his Q armor-shred into an E-dash all-in if I greed a sweetspot from inside his range — keep the spacing, chip, and let the burn tick while he walks at me.
