Treat this like a tanky melee lane, not a free win — Galio is one of the chunkier level-1s and his Q (Winds of War) chips you while you walk up. His W (Shield of Durand) is a self-channel that builds damage reduction and releases a TAUNT to everything nearby when it pops — it is proximity-based, not point-and-click, and Counter Strike can't dodge it because the taunt isn't an auto or a dodgeable skillshot. Last-hit at the tip of Leap Strike and don't waste E on his Q poke; save Counter Strike for when he walks up to auto (his passive empowers it) or pushes minion aggro onto you. At level 2-3 your Q-Empower-E combo is online, but his base armor and W taunt mean the exchange comes out even, so don't shove and dive like you would into a squishy.
