How to win lane as Cassiopeia against Renekton · 52.78% win rate over 108 Emerald+ games · Updated 2026-07-27
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Renekton | Renekton's empowered W stun into a fury-empowered Cull the Meek heal out-trades you before any poison stacks — you have one ability and no Twin Fang ramp yet. |
| Level 2 | Even / skill | With two abilities up you can trade, but his level-2 E-W fury burst still bursts harder than your half-built poison combo — neither side cleanly owns it yet. |
| Level 3 | Cassiopeia | At 3 your full Noxious Blast into Twin Fang comes online and E refunds its cooldown on poisoned targets, so you out-DPS his fury-gated combo. |
| Levels 4-5 | Cassiopeia | Ranks in Q and E let you chain Twin Fangs and ground his Slice with Miasma so he can't close the gap or Dice out — his Cull the Meek heal can't keep up. |
| Level 6 | Cassiopeia | Both ult at 6, but Petrifying Gaze stuns him as he Slices in and his R is only a short dash-slam, so you answer his last all-in and shred him. |
| First item | Cassiopeia | Liandry's/Malignance plus Serpentine Grace move speed make you a dominant lane DPS — you kite his dashes and ramp Twin Fang faster than he regenerates fury. |
| Two+ items | Cassiopeia | Renekton has no sustained threat into items while you become a single-target poison shredder — you kite, ground, and out-DPS him outright. |
Renekton owns the very first levels and you must respect it — his empowered W (Ruthless Predator) stuns while his fury-empowered Q (Cull the Meek) heals him as it chunks you, so do not walk up to throw a single Noxious Blast at level 1. Last-hit at max Q range and concede a little CS rather than eat his E-W-Q. Once you hit level 3 with Q, W, and E, the lane flips: prime the target with Noxious Blast, and Twin Fang refunds most of its cooldown and mana on a poisoned target, so you spam E while his combo sits on cooldown. The key tool is Miasma — if he Slices (E) onto you, drop the cloud to ground him so he can't Dice back out, and your poison ticks him down where he stands.
