How to win lane as Akshan against Pantheon · 47.98% win rate (792 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
He can follow the swing — trade in short bursts and save E as the exit, not the highlight reel.
Track: Pantheon's W — Shield Vault (13–9s cooldown). Point-and-click stun — respect the all-in any time it is up.
Read from Akshan's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Pantheon.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Even / skill | Pantheon owns levels 1-2: his W dash-stun and held empowered Q out-burst your single passive shot and lone Q before you have any escape. |
| Level 2 | Even / skill | It evens out at 2 — your second passive shot is online but his W-stun-into-Q cheese still threatens, so it's a skill-matched standoff. |
| Level 3 | Pantheon | Heroic Swing comes online at 3 and your Q range lets you poke from outside Shield Vault's 600 reach, angling around Aegis Assault. |
| Levels 4-5 | Even / skill | Levels 4-5 are your peak laning window: max Avengerang poke plus the double-shot passive chips a melee who can only answer by W-stunning into your E. |
| Level 6 | Even / skill | Your R (Comeuppance) adds a missing-HP execute and his early lead is fading — you out-trade him from range now. |
| First item | Pantheon | Your Youmuu's / Serpent's Fang lethality spike snowballs the E takedown-reset against a Pantheon whose 1-6 power has dropped off. |
| Two+ items | Pantheon | Pantheon is a noodle past two items — your R executes him for up to 200% bonus on missing HP from screen range while his only gap-closer is a short W dash. |
Pantheon's first two levels are the only scary part: Shield Vault (13s at rank 1) dashes onto you and stuns, and because it resets his attack the burst lands on the wind-up — so do NOT walk up to last-hit inside 600 range before you have E. At level 1 you only have Q and one passive shot, so concede the level and farm at max Avengerang range. The instant you hit 3 and unlock Heroic Swing the lane flips: he can face Aegis Assault at you to eat damage from the front, but once you swing off terrain he can't trade into your range.
