Levels 1-2 are your window: Gragas has no gap-closer until his E Body Slam at 3, so he has to walk into your Avengerang range to last-hit. Land the boomerang and your double-shot passive, cancel the second shot for the move speed, and reset spacing before he can touch you. The catch is he barely cares about your poke — he drinks W (Drunken Rage) for flat damage reduction and just absorbs the chip on his big HP bar, and unlike most squishies he has no obligation to trade back early. The instant he hits 3 and has Body Slam, stop sitting at dash range: that E is a stun on impact and it interrupts any Heroic Swing you try.
