Levels 1-3 lean Swain because his root sets up everything, but it's a skillshot, not point-and-click — E (Nevermove) is a slow, telegraphed double claw, and if you eat it he free-casts Q's bolt cone and drops W's damage zone on you while you have no Shroud to escape. Don't walk into the wave to last-hit with Q; take CS at the tip of your Five Point Strike range and never give him a clean E angle. His Q cone chips and his W zones your approach, but he has no kill pressure until that root lands, so the whole early game is just sidestepping it.
