How to win the jungle race as Morgana against Rengar · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Read from Morgana's seat: the race windows this plan plays for against Rengar.
| Stage | Read | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 Clear | Danger — Avoid Rengar | Hard no-contest for Morgana at level 1: a brush-side Savagery leap is the hardest level-1 opener in the jungle, and a brush-leap empowered Savagery removes half your HP before you can react. Hug the centre of corridors away from brush — his entire kit needs a bush to function. Path opposite, ward your entrances, and let the clock carry you to your own spike. |
| Level 2 Skirmish | Danger — Avoid Rengar | A brush-leap empowered Savagery removes half your HP before you can react. Battle Roar's heal plus ferocity stacking wins extended buff fights on top of that, so level 2 is a straight stat check Morgana loses — hug the centre of corridors away from brush — his entire kit needs a bush to function, and give the river vision-line respect. |
| Level 3 Route | Danger — Avoid Rengar | Rengar out-classes you at the opening scuttle — a 4-ferocity empowered Q already one-shots squishier junglers near any bush, and a brush-leap empowered Savagery removes half your HP before you can react. Give up the level-3 river fight, full-clear away from them, and trade map pressure instead of health. |
| Levels 4-5 Macro | Danger — Avoid Rengar | This is a no-contest window: he hunts brushes through 4-5, and any lane with an unswept bush is a full-ferocity kill, and you have nothing that answers it. Full-clear the far side and let the objective timers carry you. |
| Level 6 Breakpoint | Respect Rengar's R | A stealthed R leap opens the fight with a full-ferocity burst you never see coming — Morgana loses the straight post-6 duel. Hug control wards when his R pings the map — the reveal radius is your only warning, and shift your pressure to the side of the map Thrill of the Hunt is not on. |
| First Item Spike | Liandry's / Zhonya's | First items transform your pool and shackles into real kill pressure while the hourglass makes your engage survivable. Your camp economy accelerates past Rengar's and your pick game becomes lane-altering. Force fights at pits where your W floors the contest space. Rengar's first item is the point where an empowered Savagery stops chunking and starts one-shotting squishier targets. |
| 2+ Items Scaling | Respect Rengar Late — End Early | The full-build comparison goes to Rengar: he leaps from stealth and removes a squishy before the health bar finishes updating. Play for picks and objectives, and end before the fight has to be fair. |
Start at the buff adjacent to raptors or krugs — your W wants multi-monster camps immediately. Track Rengar's entry side to place your binding-escape route; your clear speed buys you the map's safest farm pattern. Rengar clears well off Battle Roar healing and Savagery resets, and he arrives at three with ferocity ready to spend.

Not exactly — Rengar pressures 6 of the 7 windows, so Morgana is playing catch-up and has to lean on the map.
