How to win lane as Sion against Master Yi · 51.36% win rate (294 Emerald+ games, lolalytics, sampled July 2026) · Matchup data reviewed on patch 26.15
Read from Sion's seat: which stage windows this plan plays for against Master Yi.
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Sion | Your charged Q stun and passive shield crush his level-1 trades. |
| Level 2 | Sion | At 2 your Q burst and E shove keep denying his farm. |
| Level 3 | Sion | Level 3 you still out-trade his item-less kit with Q and the shield. |
| Levels 4-5 | Sion | Through 4-5 your charge poke and durability beat his early DPS. |
| Level 6 | Master Yi | At 6 Highlander gives speed and slow immunity on an 85s cooldown — his window. |
| First item | Master Yi | At first item he out-duels you, and Meditate heals it back without Grievous Wounds. |
| Two+ items | Sion | At 2+ items your HP pool and R engage win — Wuju Style is true damage, buy health not armour. |
The first four stages are a stomp: the charged Q stun and W-shield crush his level-1 trades, Q burst and E shove deny his farm at 2, and your durability beats his item-less DPS through 5. Do not release a charge into Alpha Strike — he is untargetable for it, and it is 20s at rank 1. Starve him now.
