Mordekaiser is the stronger duelist at Levels 1-3. At Level 1 you trade evenly with Q empowered autos, but his Q isolated bonus already punishes you if you stand alone, so keep the minion wave between you and never let him E-pull you. At Level 2 he has E up and can pull you into a prolonged trade where his W shield absorbs your return damage — your W block zone helps only if you place the blade before the fight, so pre-position the spirit blade near the caster minions, not deep in his reach. By Level 3 his full kit is online and he out-trades you in extended fights; keep trades short, use E-taunt to dump your combo and disengage immediately, and accept that he wins the extended version of every fight here. Do not let him isolate you with E when your W is on cooldown.
