Shen is one of the few tanks you can actually push around at levels 1-3 — you out-stat him at 1 and your Lvl 2 W-stun spike lands before his E taunt comes up. The trick is his W: it auto-blocks your basic attacks, so never dump an empowered Q into an active W. Tap a throwaway Q to bait the block, watch the shimmer drop, then commit W-Q empower and use your E to eat his return autos. Just respect his E dash range — if you W in carelessly he taunts you and the trade flips.
