How to win lane as Neeko against Olaf · 42.86% win rate over 14 Emerald+ games · Updated 2026-07-27
| Stage | Favoured | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Olaf | Olaf's axe (Q) slow plus Reckless Swing true damage walks me down before I have any combo or escape at level 1. |
| Level 2 | Olaf | Still no E, so he just trades with axe-slow into true damage and my single-target Q can't out-poke his sustain. |
| Level 3 | Even / skill | I finally get E (Tangle-Barbs) — a max-range root onto his axe-pickup path lets me poke even, so this stage is genuinely contestable. |
| Levels 4-5 | Olaf | He sustains my Q with lifesteal and all-ins the moment my W invis is down, so I concede 4-5 without ult. |
| Level 6 | Neeko | Pop Blossom from disguise or W-invis turns a landed E into a full burst combo — my one clean kill window if his Ragnarok is on cooldown. |
| First item | Even / skill | My Liandry's/Lost Chapter spike fights his first-item lifesteal evenly, but his Ragnarok still threatens to break any all-in, so it's a coinflip. |
| Two+ items | Olaf | Two-item Olaf outlasts my single rotation — Ragnarok ignores my shield and breaks my stun, so he reclaims the duel and I must roam instead. |
Olaf owns the first three levels here, not me. The moment I step up to cast Q he lands his axe (Q) slow and follows with Reckless Swing true damage, and my squishy body has no answer to that before I get spacing. Level 1-2 I just last-hit at the edge of Q range and refuse to trade. My first breath comes at 3 when I have E (Tangle-Barbs) — root him from max range as he goes for his thrown axe, then re-bloom Q poke while he's locked, but never throw E point-blank where he just walks onto me.
