Level 1 is genuinely even — you both have just one spell and no combo, so I farm with the outer edge of Q and don't walk into her Q poke for nothing. But once she has two-three points in her ranged Q, she chips me for free from outside my reach, and my Q is single-target waveclear, not a trade tool. My only answer is E (Tangle-Barbs) at Level 3 — but it's a slow, telegraphed line, so I have to root her off a minion or a misstep, then immediately Q, or I've spent my one window for nothing. Don't throw E on cooldown into a champ who's just waiting to side-step and re-poke.
