Level 1 is a wash — I only have a single ability and no combo, so I just last-hit and don't contest his Q knockup. The lane opens up for me at 2-3: once I add W (Twisted Advance) into Q (Bramble Smash) I can root him in place, swing Bramble Smash at the wide tip to knock him back, and proc Sap Magic on the follow-up auto to heal the trade right back. Watch his W block — if he recasts it he negates my root or eats my Q, so bait it out with a Sapling Toss or a fake step before I commit the Twisted Advance.
