Jayce simply out-ranges you here and you have no gap-closer to fix it — his cannon Q fired through the acceleration gate hits harder and further than your Piercing Light, and every step you take into Q range to last-hit gets you chunked below your already-low base HP. Don't try to win the poke war; you lose it. Hug the wave, take CS with the tip of your Q from max range, and refuse to walk up when his cannon Q is up. Your Lightslinger double-tap means nothing if you can't get into auto range.
