Your only real edge is Level 1: open with RQ Soulflare for the delayed damage zone and the slow before Trundle has his W speed field to answer. After that it sours fast. His Q hits hard and slows, so even though the AD it steals is wasted on you as an AP champ, the raw bite damage plus his sustain wins the trade math. Once his W move-speed field is down you cannot kite — the range gap you live on just vanishes. Poke with Q at max range, let Gathering Fire feed your Mantra cooldown, and do NOT let him close into bite range inside his speed zone.
