Level 1 is genuinely even — neither of us wants to commit, so I farm with Q off the wave and stay out of his E (Death's Grasp) pull range. Once he hits 2 he's the bully: his W (Indestructible) shields and heals back my poke, and his Q hits harder when he isolates me, so I can't just trade autos. My one window is my own E-stun at 3 into a Q-reset — land it ON the wave so a minion death refreshes Bladesurge, burst him, and disengage before his shield charges. Whiff the E and I lose the trade and the level.
