Do not be fooled by the tank-shredder reputation — early Malphite is annoying because his W passive hands him free armor plus one empowered auto, and his Q (Ground Slam) slow lets him poke and walk out of your Lunge range. At Levels 1-3 his short trades actually beat yours if you facecheck a Q. Last-hit by popping Vitals with Lunge at max range, chase the side the Vital marks, and only commit an E-Bladework crit-Vital combo when his Q is on cooldown — otherwise he slows you, the Vital re-marks awkwardly, and the trade evens out.
